Ferrell Family Scholarship

 

One scholarship in the amount of $2,500 will be awarded to a graduating senior of Caddo Mills High School.

 

Qualifications

• Graduating senior of Caddo Mills High School
• Entering college or trade school after high school
• An overall academic average of 85 during high school
  • Submit a copy of your high school transcript with the application
• The scholarship is offered for the first year of post-secondary education and shall be received in two separate installments, the second dependent upon the student’s academic average.
  • An academic average of 2.5 on a 4.0 scale shall be maintained during the first semester in order for a student to qualify for the remainder of the funds.
• Students must be a “full-time” student both semesters as determined by the full-time enrollment policy of their particular school.

 

Payment of Scholarship Funds

• The scholarship will be awarded in two installments, one per semester of the first year of post-secondary education.
• The scholarship funds will be channeled directly to the recipient’s college.
• The scholarship must be used within one calendar year of the award date.

 

Selection Process

Selection of the recipient shall be made by the Ferrell family.  Selection shall be based upon such factors as financial need, academic achievement, citizenship, leadership, and school and community involvement.  Applicants are required to complete this application, provide two letters of recommendation, provide a copy of their high school transcript, and submit a typed essay giving the reasons why they deserve and or need the Ferrell Family Scholarship.
