Student Council
The Caddo Mills Elementary Student Council is very active throughout the year. The purpose of the CMES Student Council is to strive for good citizenship and academic excellence. They support and show respect of all individuals in the school and community and help everyone work together.
Elections for Student Council will be held during the month of October. Six 5th grade students will be chosen to serve as CMES Student Council officers for the school year. A homeroom representative will be chosen from each class in grades 4 and 5. Grade 5 students will be elected by their homeroom peers and grade 4 students will be appointed by their teachers. Different representatives will be elected/appointed for each 9 week grading period.
To be eligible to serve, students must maintain a grade average of 85 in all subjects at the end of each 6 weeks progress report period and each 9 week grading period. Students must maintain an A in citizenship, have all homework and classwork completed on time, strive to be well organized and be punctual in attendance to school, class and all Student Council meetings and activities. They must work well with others, always considering the other person's thoughts and needs.
