Arthur Galope
A native of Grand Prairie, TX, Arthur Galope is a graduate of Grand Prairie High School and earned the Bachelor of Music degree from the University of Texas at Arlington. As a member of the Grand Prairie High School Marching, Concert, and Jazz Bands, Mr. Galope held the leadership roles of Section Leader and Captain and was selected to the TMEA Region XX All-Region Jazz Band.
While a student at UTA, Mr. Galope participated in the Marching Band, University Band, Concert Band, Orchestra, and Trombone Choir. He was a student of Ray Lichtenwalter, Philip Clements, Andrew Russell and Darin McHenry. An active leader in the University Bands, Mr. Galope served as Drill Instructor, Section Leader, Marching Band Committee Representative, and was a member of the Music Department Recruitment Committee. He is a member of Kappa Kappa Psi Honorary Band Service Fraternity and has held the offices of Vice President of Programs, Historian, and Parliamentarian.
Mr. Galope earned his Teacher Certification through the University of Texas at Tyler and student taught in Wills Point, TX with John Young and Kim Manuel after completing an internship in Whitehouse ISD with Denny Whitley and Jerry Gober. He has performed with the Tyler Community Band under Dr. Jeff Emge.
