The Caddo Mills ISD Board of Trustees met in a regular scheduled Board Meeting on
February 18, 2008.

The calendar for the 2008-2009 school year was approved. In case of a late start an alternate calendar was also approved.

The new fingerprinting procedures for non-certified employees under Senate Bill 9 were discussed. The trustees voted to pay the fee charged for the newly hired auxiliary personnel. For now the substitutes will be responsible for paying their fee.
The school needs a work truck. The present one will not pass inspection. Board agreed to purchase a used work truck not to exceed $6,000. The Booster Club has agreed to pay half the cost of a gator for the fields. Board agreed to pay half, but not to exceed $5,000.
Under personnel items, the Board agreed to approve new positions to the district: Elementary Counselor, Elementary Nurse, Elementary Music Teacher, Elementary Reading Specialist and a 5th grade Science Teacher. Vonda Farmer was named the new Middle School Assistant Principal.
Administrator’s contracts and salaries were discussed and approved.
